Great art is anything that diverts your eye when you walk into a room. It is the piece that highlights the features of the room, the piece that makes you look away from the television. It is something that draws comment and says something about the owners taste. It can be large scale and obvious or small and in fitting with an eclectic style.
The test is if it captures your attention and if it looks like it is meant to be there. If you think a room or wall would look bare without it then you know you have something worth keeping.
The randomness of abstraction has no limitations. It provides a freedom from reality. The viewer reactions are based purely on emotion, whether they love it or hate it. The colour, texture and form creates changes of light and angle that makes the most of the space available.
My art focuses on two important messages. Firstly, I remember the past, the people who made it special and the significance it has in the present. Secondly, I focus on the future and the aim to make it as bright, positive and inspiring as possible.
We must never forget what has went before. We can shape the future if we try. Please dream big, think big and live big!
Thank you for taking the time to share this with me. I hope the future is kind to you.
